- Alzheimer's Association (East Central Iowa Chapter) is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer care, support and research.
- Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cedar Rapids is dedicated to help boys and girls achieve their full potential through one-to-one mentoring relationships with carefully screened and caring adults.
- Catherine McAuley Center Volunteers at the Catherine McAuley Center enjoy helping others learn, making new friends, the satisfaction of contributing to the community, and sharing their talents.
- City of Cedar Rapids Charter Review Commission Applications The 2011 Charter Review Commission will be comprised of nine members. Each Cedar Rapids City Council member will nominate one person to serve. Applicants must be residents of Cedar Rapids. Applications must be returned to the City Manager’s Office by 5 PM on Tuesday, January 11, 2011. This abbreviated deadline is due to the fact that the appointments will be on the January 25, 2011, City Council agenda.
- Cedar Rapids Museum of Art Volunteers at the CRMA may assist in a variety of programs and events. One can lead tours to introduce youth and adults to the pleasures of art; guide activities at Family Fun Days; and assist at exhibition previews, our Food & Wine Festival, Martini Madness and more.
- Community Ecumenical Center Sharing ministries of humanitarian care and service with the surrounding neighborhoods.
- Corridor Volunteers Volunteer Center of Johnson and Linn County on-line matching service for volunteer opportunities in the corridor area.
- Friendship Force promotes world peace and understanding by creating an environment where individual friendships can be established across the barriers that separate people.
- GLRC of Cedar Rapids The GLRC was created in 1992 by a small group of committed individuals meeting in homes and discussing the needs of the community. Includes support groups, an informational phone line and resource library, and a state-of-the-art Web page.
- Grant Wood Area Chapter (American Red Cross) The American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization, led by volunteers, that provides relief to victims of disasters and helps people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.
- Habitat for Humanity You can also support CVHH by donating building materials, land, or one of the items on our wish list of tools and supplies.
- HACAP (Hawkeye Area Community Action Program) Annually, they work with over 1100 volunteers, providing approximately 12,000 service hours. Volunteers are actively involved with events and programs.
- Junior Achievement of Eastern Iowa Junior Achievement offers programs in grades K-12 in schools throughout Eastern Iowa.
- Linn Community Food Bank Warm, nutritious meal. Seconds as available. No limitations or qualifications for service.
- March of Dimes Discover purpose, feel pride as a March of Dimes volunteer! There are rewarding activities for everyone, at every level and everywhere.
- Miracles in Motion Reliability, flexibility, and a desire to learn and to help others. It's also a great opportunity to work with horses if you have horse experience.
- Rockwell Collins Retiree Volunteer Program is an organization of Rockwell Collins Retirees involved in a wide range of volunteer activities in the community. It is intended to benefit both retirees and the community while responding to needs which volunteers can fill.
- St. Lukes There are many reasons why St. Luke's Hospital has such a strong corps of volunteers. Some volunteer because they meet new friends and feel connected to the community. Others want to be connected to a healthcare environment to explore careers and learn new skills.
- United Way of East Central Iowa Find volunteer opportunities for United Way and community projects.
- Waypoint (Cedar Rapids) There are several opportunities available including coordinating food and supply drives, to sorting donations, to becoming a trained domestic violence and sexual assault volunteer advocate.
- Willis Dady Emergency Shelter Individuals and groups are welcome - opportunities are constantly changing/being added.
- WRAC (Women's Resource Action Center) WRAC trains new volunteers at the beginning of each Semester.
